Logistics & Freight Management
Full logistics chain management from origin to end-user, including freight, customs, and delivery confirmation.
Full Chain Management
Noble Group manages the complete logistics chain for defense equipment transactions — from the point of origin through to confirmed delivery to the authorized end-user. This includes freight planning, carrier selection, packing and preservation to the applicable military standards, customs clearance at point of export and import, and coordination of any transit requirements.
Logistics management is not a secondary function for Noble Group — it is a core component of every transaction we manage. Many transactions fail not in the regulatory phase but in the logistics phase, through inadequate documentation, incorrect classification, or failure to account for transit country requirements. We manage these risks proactively.
Customs Documentation
Export and import customs documentation for defense equipment is more complex than for commercial goods. Noble Group prepares and manages all required customs declarations, export control documentation, dual-use classification documentation, and end-use declarations as required by the applicable export license conditions.
All shipments are accompanied by a complete documentation package verified for compliance with the export license, the commercial contract, and the requirements of the destination country's customs authority.
Delivery Confirmation and Reporting
Where required by the export license or the terms of the transaction, Noble Group coordinates delivery verification by the end-user and provides delivery confirmation documentation to the relevant licensing authority. We retain complete transaction records in accordance with applicable regulatory retention requirements.
Freight Planning and Carrier Coordination
Effective logistics for defense equipment begins with accurate freight planning. Noble Group coordinates routing, carrier selection, and modal choices — air, sea, or land — based on the cargo type, origin, destination, applicable export license conditions, and any transit country restrictions. Controlled items often have specific packaging, marking, and handling requirements that must be reflected in the freight plan before booking.
For oversized or heavy-lift cargo — armored vehicles, artillery systems, aircraft — Noble Group coordinates specialist freight providers with applicable defense cargo handling experience and the required permits for oversize or overweight loads.
Export and Import Customs Compliance
Defense equipment and controlled items require specific customs documentation that differs substantially from standard commercial cargo. Noble Group prepares and manages all applicable customs declarations, export control documents, dual-use classification papers, and end-use certificates required by the export license conditions.
At the destination, Noble Group provides the documentation required for import customs clearance and coordinates with the buyer's receiving authority to confirm that all import authorization conditions are met before the shipment is released. Where applicable, we coordinate in-country delivery to the authorized end-user facility.
Documentation Pack
Every Noble Group shipment is accompanied by a complete documentation package verified for compliance with the applicable export license, commercial contract, and destination country import requirements. Standard documentation includes: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, export license copy, end-user certificate, and any additional certificates required by the cargo type (proof of deactivation, demilitarization certificates, proof of origin).
Delivery Confirmation and Reporting
Where required by the export license or the terms of the transaction, Noble Group coordinates delivery verification at the end-user's facility and provides a delivery verification report to the relevant licensing authority. We retain complete transaction and shipping records in accordance with applicable regulatory retention requirements. Clients receive confirmation of delivery as part of the standard transaction close-out process.
